Limited Edition Proof Set - 75th Anniversary of the First Canadian Silver Dollar (2010)

Treasure trove indeed! Wonderful set.

Pros: Attractive Design, One Of A Kind

Cons: Expensive

Set sold-out rather quickly. One would think due to customer/individuals sales, however it once again seems to have been been sold in large quantities to mass retailers such as Canada Post. Canada Post has the set listed in their July/September philatelic magazine and, per their order desk, with ample stock and more to come. (legalese)

VFP9 SP2 Released finally!

October 10th, 2007

Looks like Microsoft released Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Visual FoxPro 9.0.

Download Service Pack 2 for Microsoft Visual FoxPro 9.0. SP2 provides the latest updates to Visual FoxPro 9.0, including fixes to several issues reported by the community. A list of bugs fixed in this service pack is also available on the download page.

VFP9 SP2 requires either VFP 9.0 (RTM) or VFP 9.0 SP1 to be installed. SP2 setup will patch either installation. However, the SP2 patch cannot be applied to any of the CTPs (Community Technology Previews) or Betas. Make sure those are uninstalled before installing the SP2 patch.

Royal Doulton Repository

October 5th, 2007

Finally, had implemented a portion of a long standing idea to develop a community interest site on Royal Doulton figurines; a compendium of their attributes - a Royal Doulton Repository or RDR for short. The site is still under development, but the beginnings of the Royal Doulton Repository can be found at http://www.software-intellect.com/rdr/. Thus far, the numerical listing of Royal Doulton figurines by their HN (Harry Nixon) number is fairly complete and active at http://www.software-intellect.com/rdr/figures_hn.php. If any figurine name attribute’s are missing, or are incorrect as shown, let me know.

The values shown are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and are based on the Charlton Standard Catalog 11th Edition by Jean Dale. As the catalog only goes up to March 2006 (sort of), the figurines introduced thereafter show the current Suggested Retail Price (SRP) in CAD. Charlton Press plans on not releasing a new catalog edition this year.

VFP9 SP1 Released!

December 15th, 2005

Well the Microsoft FoxPro team released SP1 for VFP9 on December 8th, 2005, after a three month beta cycle. It seems the SP1 build is based on a month old build (Nov 4th, 2005). They plan on releasing a SP2, but not until the first half of 2007 to coincide with the Sedna release. Wow, that is a long time away to have to live with whatever bugs remain.

FoxPro 9 released!

February 2nd, 2005

On 2004-12-17 Visual FoxPro 9.0 was completed and released by Microsoft!  For MSDN subscribers, Visual FoxPro 9.0 is available as a download.  Retail versions, either full product or upgrade product, are available through retailers at the time of this posting.

I have had the privelege to use Visual FoxPro 9.0 for a little over a year now and the new features and improvements, especially the new report writer functionality, are just great!
